Project Learning

S2 Project Learning

Introduction

The Junior Secondary Cross-Subject Project Learning integrates the fields of Personal, Social, and Humanities Education and Technology Education. The aim is to explore life issues and the values of love and righteousness, allowing students to adopt a "human-centered" thinking approach. Students will independently identify stakeholders and choose a problem related to the school environment or learning needs to address.

The topic is "I hope to improve the issue at school to make our campus life better." Students are expected to provide innovative solutions to enhance the campus life of teachers and students. This initiative aims to increase students' awareness of their learning environment and campus life, develop their STEM research and creative skills, and boost their confidence in learning.

Throughout the year, students will engage in group activities that include data collection and organization, problem identification, creative invention, making suggestions, and summarizing results. By participating in diverse research activities, they will develop skills such as data collection and organization, information technology application, communication, creativity, and problem-solving. This experience fosters autonomous learning and cultivates lifelong learning abilities.

Objectives

  1. Through data collection and organization, allow students to discover and explore school conditions that they wish to investigate, such as their living situations and needs within the school.
  2. Cultivate students' core competencies, including data collection and organization skills, information technology application skills, communication skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
  3. Equip students with STEM innovation skills, applying what they have learned to solve real-life problems and enhance their competitiveness in society.
  4. Through the study of community living topics, foster students' awareness of the living conditions of school members and encourage them to think about methods or strategies for improving these conditions, thereby practicing values of love and righteousness.
S3 Project Learning

Introduction

Our school has always implemented school-based project research activities across various subjects. This year, to align with our school’s capability development plan, we are promoting cross-disciplinary learning activities. We hope that students will learn to solve everyday problems using scientific and technological knowledge. This approach allows students to integrate and apply STEM education knowledge and skills while stimulating their curiosity, confidence, creativity, and sense of community care. Through the problem-solving process, they will also understand the significance of love and righteousness.

Additionally, these activities are based on scientific inquiry or "Design Thinking," encouraging students to adopt a "human-centered" mindset to provide innovative solutions for sustainable development goals. This hands-on approach will enhance students' abilities in scientific innovation.

Learning Objectives

  1. Through the project-based learning course, allow students to deeply focus on their everyday needs.
  2. Cultivate students' problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and creativity. Equip them with STEM research and innovation skills, applying what they have learned to solve real-life problems.
  3. Through the application of scientific inquiry or "Design Thinking" methodologies, cultivate students' ability to solve life issues from a "human-centered" perspective, while practicing the values of love and righteousness throughout the process.
